An Unexpected Life - Chapter 1
The birds fled, the winds howled. It seemed as if time slowed down its peace as the awful odor of death filled the air.
Soulless vessels lay on the ground, they were silent, unmoving. And they all looked the same, the ones in armor and without, young and old. Men, Elves and Dwarfs. Nothing made any difference anymore.
The Elven King shook his head to dismiss the memories. Memories of past battles, and lost loved ones.
What was left for him?
A Voice. A voice float to his ears as he looked around.
"Daddy! Daddy! Wake up! You have to wake up!"
A little child dressed in white. A little girl kneeling before the body of a man. Her father.
Leaves crunched under the child boots as she tried to wake her father up. In vain.
"Daddy get up! We have to go home!"
The child was so focused on what she was doing that she didn't realized the tall figure that approached.
A deep voice were heard.
The young girl turned around and watched the tall figure through wide, woeful, hazel eyes.

A Harpy's TaleWhere to start? Perhaps one would say to start at the beginning but that often leads to boring reads at best, idiotic misfortune at worst. No, for me, the best place is to start where I must, and that is here, confined to mortality, human flesh above all else.
What can one say to that? One such as I? ...One such as I was? It is laughable, when the truth comes to light. Laughable for some, pitiable for others, unbelievable for most. If it were not to happen to myself, I think I would be among the last, among the ones who laughs and takes this writing for a flight of fancy when, in truth, it is not. But make of it what you will, you who reads these words. I can neither prove for or against at this moment.
I sit here, my skin sun-tanned, slightly weathered and very beaten. I say these things because they are how I perceive them to be, something I would not have thought myself to have come to. Then again, were you to say that this were
